iBed Watch

Watch the video above for a demonstration or use the instructions below as a quick reference.

Engaging iBed Watch

  1. First, place the bed in its safe configuration according to your hospital’s policy.

    • This may include low height, proper side rail position, or head-of-bed elevation.

  2. On the footboard touchscreen, select the iBed Watch icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen.

  3. Choose which features you want to actively monitor:

    • Low Height

    • Side Rail Positioning

    • Head-of-Bed Angle

    • Bed Flat Positioning

  4. The system will activate and begin monitoring the selected features.

Visual Indicators

  • Green icons – The bed is in a safe configuration.

  • Amber icons – One or more parameters are out of compliance with the safe configuration.

  • Flashing red lights – The bed has been repositioned and is no longer in a safe configuration.

    • These lights appear on both the side rails and footboard.

Responding to Alerts

When the bed leaves its safe configuration:

  1. Observe which indicators have changed to amber or red.

  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to return the bed to its safe configuration.

  3. Once corrected, the icons will return to green, confirming compliance.

Turning Off iBed Watch

  • To deactivate the feature, select Turn Off on the footboard touchscreen.

Always-Active Safety Monitoring

Even when iBed Watch is turned off, the ProCuity bed continues to monitor:

  • Brake activity

  • Power connection to the bed

These safety systems remain active at all times to prevent unintended movement or power loss.
