Exam Rooms
The exam room suite is equipped with a variety of spaces designed to reflect real-world clinical settings. Some rooms feature standard exam beds, allowing students to perform physical assessments, health screenings, and follow-up visits in a realistic primary care environment.
Other rooms include plinth tables that support physical therapy, occupational therapy, and athletic training students as they practice mobility assessments, transfers, and rehabilitation techniques.
The consult room provides a private setting for social work, nutrition, and communication sciences students to conduct counseling sessions, patient education, and follow-up consultations, fostering interprofessional collaboration and comprehensive patient care.
Each room provides private access for our Standardized Patients (SPs) to use, keeping encounters realistic and professional. When they are not busy giving Oscar-winning performances, the SPs can relax between encounters in our SP lounge. Also, in our lounge we have our moulage prep area, which allows us to simulate wounds, rashes, and other conditions for SPs.
