Recording Process

IMPORTANTBefore –they Tellbegin therecording, presentertell IFthem THEYthat MAKEif Athey MISTAKEmake a mistake and wantwould like to record, thRE-RECORD: Thee process is the same for every time this might happen:

Pause
Tellat them to PAUSE FORleast 5 seconds, then REDOredo the CURRENTcurrent SLIDEslide entirely NOTnot THEthe ENTIREentire PRESENTATIONpresentation.  (We can trim out the rerecorded areas in Panopto in post-production.)

Recording:

1. Press the OnON button under RErecordCORD on the right upper area of the switcherswitcher. [Insert picture here]

 

2. Every 10 seconds or so, OR at a natural break when the presenter pauses, and/or changes the slides, press the AutoPRESS THE AUTO button, which will switch the combined recorded feeds from one input to the other. [do we still need to do this? Panopto lets you upload both streams, may not need to do this]

    
   (Pressing AutoAUTO is a toggle which will switch between the two input feeds each time pressed, and will transition smoothly, for the amount of time shown above the AUTO button on the switcher.)

    

   In addition to the combined mp4 being recorded, the ATEM switcher is also recording the individual HDMI input feeds. (more on using these in post-production later)

 

3. When the presenter is finished PRESSpress THEthe Stop button under RECORDrecord on the switcher [Insert picture here]
