iBed Watch

Engaging iBed Watch

First, place the bed in its safe configuration according to your hospital’s policy.

This may include low height, proper side rail position, or head-of-bed elevation.

On the footboard touchscreen, select the iBed Watch icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Choose which features you want to actively monitor:

Low Height
-
Side Rail Positioning
-
Head-of-Bed Angle
-
Bed Flat Positioning
-

The system will activate and begin monitoring the selected features.
Visual Indicators
-
Green icons – The bed is in a safe configuration.
-
Amber icons – One or more parameters are out of compliance with the safe configuration.
-
Flashing red lights – The bed has been repositioned and is no longer in a safe configuration.
-
These lights appear on both the side rails and footboard.

Responding to Alerts
When the bed leaves its safe configuration:

Observe which indicators have changed to amber or red.
-
Follow the on-screen prompts to return the bed to its safe configuration.
-
Once corrected, the icons will return to green, confirming compliance.
Turning Off iBed Watch

To deactivate the feature, select Turn Off on the footboard touchscreen.
Always-Active Safety Monitoring
Even when iBed Watch is turned off, the ProCuity bed continues to monitor:

Brake activity
-
Power connection to the bed
These safety systems remain active at all times to prevent unintended movement or power loss.
