Request for a Phone Number

Faculty, staff, or guests who work at a university‑owned property can request a new voice line or change existing service/telephones through their supervisor. Supervisors must complete the Office Landline Telephone form on behalf of the individual.

Note: Temple University Voice over IP (VOIP) phones require an active internet connection.

Important for New or Returning Individuals:
Temple University no longer provides traditional physical desk phones by default. Instead, voice service is provided through Teams Calling, which allows you to make and receive calls directly from your computer or mobile device using the Microsoft Teams application. If you need a phone number for Teams Calling, please speak with your supervisor so they can submit the Office Landline Telephone form for you.


Help Requests

To request general IT support, please submit all requests through the Help Desk at help.temple.edu.

If you prefer to speak with someone, you can:

Help Desk Hours (when semesters are in session):
Open 24 hours a day from Sunday at 10:30 a.m. through Friday at 5:00 p.m.
On Saturdays, the Help Desk is open from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
